Disclaimer: Win Probabilities for the Rugby World Cup are not provided by the data vendor used by these pools. All fixtures are defaulted to +100, 1/1, 2.000, 50% odds.
Place deposits with Banano on the teams you think will win their game! Your deposit will be placed in a pool in support of that team. If your team wins, you will receive your initial deposit back plus your percent of the winning pool from deposits placed on the opposing team. If your team loses, your deposit will be split among the winners.
Important: Before you can place any deposits, the pool for the game must be activated. This ensures that the pool is pre-seeded with 42 BAN from the house account. You can only place deposits once the pool has been activated. Pools can be activated within 6 days of kickoff and are seeded based off of current odds.
For example, let's say BUF and LAR are playing each other. You deposit 10 BAN on BUF. The total amount deposited on BUF is 100 BAN. The total amount deposited on LAR is 80 BAN. Since your deposit makes up 10% of BUF's pool, if BUF wins, you will receive your deposit (10 BAN) plus 10% of LAR's pool, or in this case, 8 BAN. In the case of a tie, all BAN will be returned. If no deposits are made on one side of the matchup, then all BAN will be returned to their original owners. Deposits lock at the time of kickoff. You can make multiple deposits on a matchup, and even on both sides, however, a single BAN Address must be used.
To make your deposits more fair and informed, the Vegas Odds and implied win probability for each game are provided. If you believe in these probabilities, then the percent of BAN in each team's pool should be close to these percentages. Further, if you check the box called "Recommend Teams/Games", we will recommend games and teams whose pools are imbalanced according to the Vegas Odds.
There currently is a 1.5% HOUSE FEE off of the losing pool before payouts are calculated. There is no house fee on refunds or ties. Payouts go out every 30 minutes. The house fee will go towards the automatic seeding of pools.

BANANO was forked in April 2018 from NANO. BANANO offers instant, feeless and rich in potassium 🍌 transactions, thanks to the fact that BANANO developers (several of them having being involved in NANO itself) have kept big portions of the original code unchanged to keep cross-chain compatibility between existing code libraries. However, they have fined-tuned some parameters, such as Proof of Work requirements and currency units. While the focus for now is on having an ongoing free and fair distribution, BANANO is also experimenting with feature additions such as a privacy layer (Camo BANANO), on-chain messaging (MonkeyTalks) and more. In context of distribution, we aim to use our meanwhile ready-to-strike infrastructure with easy-to-use mobile wallets (Kalium) and tipbots on several major social media platforms to onboard normies and crypto-noobs who have no idea yet what a cryptocurrency is. We also might do IRL airdrops at some point. Of note, key here is to make the start with crypto as easy as possible, use a fun attitude and gamification to get new users started without all the usual hassle, and then educate them to handle crypto in general in a responsible way.
